Houndstooth Fabric Weaving (w/ video tutorial & product demo)

In partnership with Spectrum Brands, I bring you this awesome fabric weaving tutorial on creating a houndstooth pattern using the basket weave. This video tutorial will give you an overview of each step involved in the process. If you’re new to fabric weaving, I have a series on the Fundamentals of Fabric Weaving on my YouTube Channel that go over each of the steps and variations in fabric weaving.

  • Pins

  • Interfacing

To bring you this tutorial, I have partnered with Spectrum Brands, who provided me with free product and compensation. My opinions expressed in this blog and tutorial are both authentic and my own.

Since receiving my Black + Decker Light’N Go Cordless Iron, I quite literally feel like the cord has been cut and I’m free to have an iron at my station regardless of how many notions I have on my table. The power is awesome and this iron has quickly become my go-to even in situations when the convenience of a cordless isn’t what I’m needing.

To both learn how to create the houndstooth basket weave and see this iron in action, make sure to check out my video tutorial.

  1. Could you please post on your blog or in the info section of your videos all the instructions for the rows? I mean like your ticker tape instructions all in one place so it can be printed out for a cheat sheet? That would be wonderful. Love your videos.

  2. I luckily found you! I am a fan now. At first I was like WHAT!. Then I began to understand the method.
I just recently retired due to medical. After feeling sorry for myself. Kicked myself in the rear (lol) and started following some of your videos. I am going out today to get my foam board. I loads of fabric!!!! I like to make quilt tops.
Thank you for your smile and engaging laugh! Keep up the good work. Fan in Lake Panasoffkee Florida.
