Denim Heart Pillows

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, I had to bring the Denim Heart Pillow back for an encore. Last year, I had written a tutorial on the Brother Blog, so this year, I decided to bring it to video.

For this duo of pillows, I used two contrasting denims from the Denim Studio by Art Gallery Fabrics: Scarlet Brick Textured Denim & Babbling Brook Crosshatch Denim. To compliment these denims, I selected two perfectly matched duo of Pure Elements Solids & Aurifil Thread: London Red with 50 wt Lobster Red from Helena’s Toy Box & Denim Blue with 40 wt Blue Grey from Mister Domestic’s Tool Box.

For this tutorial, I created two videos. The first focuses on the preparation and sewing of the denim pillow front that you can use to finish however you want. And the second is all about machine binding made easy, which uses these pillow forms to show you all my tips and tricks for machine binding that both looks super cute and is legit easy breezy. Click on the links or the images below to see each one.
