A few months ago, Robbin of Sew Farm Quilter reached out to me to test her new Quilted Leather Wallet pattern. I always love to help out if I can fit it into my schedule, but even if I didn’t have time I would’ve said yes because this wallet is bananas. In addition to the pattern, she also sells a kit that comes with all the fixings minus the quilted fabric, which made it easy breezy to stitch together.
Once I had the leather in my hands, I knew exactly that I wanted to pair it with the Canyon Sunset Textured Denim from Art Gallery Fabrics and my tried and true 50 wt Ermine Aurifil thread from my Mister Domestic’s Tool Box. Instead of quilting the denim, I used a machine appliqué stitch to sew it in place and left it as it. I really dug the contrast of that stitch in Ermine and the texture of the denim.
And legit look at how many pockets and pouches there are in this compact wallet! And it totally fits in my More-Than-a-Pocket bag so win-win. So to snatch the pattern and kit, head over to Robbin’s site and snag it.
